2. The Rights of Albinos/Disabled
In most developing nations, minority groups in the society such as the disabled and albinos are grossly neglected. Sometimes they are left to compete for survival under a harsh economic condition without any form of support or protection from their governments.EAHRHI is motivated by this unbearable and deplorable conditions that disables find themselves to speak and take actions to ameliorate their living conditions. We provide clothes, food and other relief materials to support them.
We also advocate for Disabled/Albinos’ rights to equal opportunity at work places. Some of these people are skilled & qualified for employment but are denied such opportunities because of their physical deformity. EAHRHI global campaign focuses on raising awareness on discrimination and its negative impacts on the disabled & albinos. We call on government at all levels to propound laws that prohibit social discrimination or marginalisation & adopt policies that will address the need of the disabled.
Furthermore, EAHRHI raises awareness against political disenfranchisement based on race, gender, religion, social class or political association. We promote liberal democracy and strict adherence to the rule of law. No citizen of any country should be denied his political rights. States are reminded to protect the interest of the minority group and not to scheme them out of their political benefits.
